Rescue – Daisy
Daisy’s Story
We found Daisy on death’s door when we rescued her off the street. We thought we would loose her the first night she was with us. Poor Daisy has been beaten and left for dead. We brought her in and immediately started giving her medical care and food. After she made it through the night we began running tests. Daisy is severely emaciated and dehydrated from starving for so long on the street. She was barley able to move to try and find food. So she just stayed in one spot and starved. Daisy’s skin is ravaged by mange and her body is covered with sores, welts, wounds and small cuts. She has severe anemia, erlichea and leptospriosis. To make matters wore she suffers from internal infections from being beaten. Her eyes are almost swollen shut from an infection and she has tumors on her backside from neglect and abuse. We have been giving her Intravenous fluids daily and red cell generator injections.
